Effective June 15, 2020, Reda Hicks is responsible for supporting deugro group’s North American business on all key legal, regulatory and compliance matters. She acts as a key advisor to support the regional business and works in close collaboration with deugro group’s global legal team in the provision of legal support services.
Reda Hicks brings over 14 years of legal and commercial experience to her new role at deugro. She has served as a complex commercial, restructuring and regulatory resource for companies all over the world; first as a partner at the law firm Diamond McCarthy and most recently as in-house counsel at Panalpina, Inc., where she served as the dedicated legal resource for the company’s chemical, oil and gas, and project verticals.
In addition to her work as a counsel, Reda Hicks has been active in regulatory and governmental affairs in the project forwarding realm for the past six years. She has worked on initiatives regarding Ex-Im Bank reauthorization, on the development of ISPM-15 best practices and on Gulf Coast transportation policy planning. She has been involved in the Exporter’s Competitive Maritime Council since 2015, and currently serves as the organization’s president.
